We are a Bloomz School!

Hubbard Elementary Communication

This is our number one communication tool at our school. We have a Hubbard Community as well as individual classroom accounts for each teacher. While we do utilize email and other social media, this is our preferred method of building our home-school partnership. Joining the secure site takes just a few minutes. Read on to learn more.

Parent Involvement
According to research, one of the best predictors of student achievement is parental involvement in a child’s education. Bloomz offers a direct line of communication between parents and teachers, enabling both parties to easily work together to help students succeed.

The Bloomz app includes convenient tools such as real-time updates, photo and video sharing, event and volunteer coordination, behavior communication, student portfolios, parent-teacher conference signups, and much more. Bloomz is a comprehensive app that does the work of several apps in one.

About Bloomz
Bloomz is a FREE mobile and web app that connects educators with parents in a secure, social, private environment. In Bloomz, parents feel more connected than they ever have to their children’s world, and teachers have more time than ever before, because they have everything they need in one simple-to-use tool.

How to Connect
Connecting to Bloomz takes just a few minutes. At the start of the school year, each classroom teacher will send home an email inviting you to join Bloomz. In the email is a private access code for their specific class. Each class has its own unique code that is needed to join. Some teachers will manually approve these while others will allow you to automatically join. You can get a jumpstart by creating a Bloomz account now. Once you receive the access code, it takes just a few seconds to join.

03.22.20 Wireless Provider Supports as of March 22nd

It's amazing how much we rely on staying connected these days. It seems even more important recently. In order to help you, I have collected the most current updates I could find from on some of our providers. These are generous offers, and I appreciate what the companies are doing to help all of us.

Here is the current updates from wireless providers and how they are assisting with home access for families. This is current as of 3/22/20 and subject to change at any time. Please visit their individual websites for the most current supports they are offering.

Sparklight (formerly Cable One): Providing unlimited data on all internet plans for 30 days (as of March 18)

AT&T: Suspending broadband usage caps on home services. Internet access for low-income for $10/month (call for information). No service will be terminated due to inability to pay. All late fees will be waived.

Century Link: Suspending data usage limits for next 60 days as well as no late fees or canceling services for non-payment.

T-Mobile: Offering free unlimited data for next 60 days for all customers as well as an additional 20GB of mobile hotspot data.

Verizon: waiving late fees. No unlimited data or other offers for current customers at this time.

Sprint/Boost Mobile: Thos on unlimited now will receive an additional 20 GB of mobile hotspot for free through 4/30/20. Customers on tiered plans will automatically receive 20 GB additional at no additional cost. This may not include mobile hotspots.

You may have seen news about Spectrum offering free internet. This is true, however they do not service the Treasure Valley at this time.

07.23.19 Hubbard's Hanging Out!

Did you make it to our first Hubbard's Hanging Out last week? We had a great time playing at the park in hangout 2Kuna. It was great seeing so many students and families who came to hang out with us. I even conquered my fear long enough to go down the really big slide. Our students were awesome giving me encouragement.

This week we will be joining the #kunarocks trend and creating our own rocks to hide. Hope you can join us for fun on July 23rd from  6:30-7:00 p.m. Guaranteed fun for all of you!

07.09.19 #proudprincipal

I feel extremely priveledged to be the principal and lead learner of Hubbard Elementary School. Our staff, students, and families are the best in K-town! As a native of Kuna, I feel an extra special connection. Read my bio for a little more about me.
